Terms And Conditions
10th Perthshire Scout Group hereby offer to let you (expressly excluding assignees, legal or conventional and sub-tenants) use of All and Whole those premises forming the Scout Halls, Perthshire Academy, together with the whole fittings and fixtures therein and thereabout (all hereinafter referred to as “the Premises”) and that on the following terms and conditions:
- The rental period shall be the date and time period stated in your application.
- The rental shall be in Sterling and payable in advance.
- You accept the Premises as being in good condition and repair, in good decorative order and fit for the purpose for which it is let and shall be bound to maintain the Premises in such condition and to leave them at termination of the rental period in the same condition and repair.
- We shall maintain the structure and the exterior of the Premises in wind and watertight condition and will keep in good repair and working order the installations in the Premises for the supply of electricity and the provision of drainage provided always that any defects in such installations are not due to improper use of them or neglect by you for which defects you shall be liable. You shall not take any action which shall interfere with our interests in relation to access nor shall you conduct the access to the Premises in a manner which causes nuisance or annoyance to us or any other neighbours including without prejudice to the foregoing generality the playing of loud music.
- The Premises shall be used for your stated function and for no other purpose whatsoever. You shall not be permitted to:-
- carry out any structural or other alterations or additions to the Premises;
- smoke on the Premises;
- use the Premises for any illegal activity;
- attach posters or other items to the building or its inside walls using pins or adhesive tapes.
- There is reserved to us or any agent or other person on our behalf a right of access to the Premises at all times for the purposes of inspection and if necessary, effecting repairs or maintenance to the Premises and adjoining premises or other necessary purposes.
- You shall indemnify us against all liability for which we may become liable or responsible as a result of anything done or omitted to be done on the Premises by you or any other persons for whom you may be responsible and against all relative or consequential expenses.
- You will provide a first aid kit for use during your use of the building.
- We shall be responsible for the insurance of the Premises against fire and all other risks as would normally be insured by a prudent landlord and shall pay the premiums in respect thereof. The insurance of any third party risks shall be your sole responsibility.
- We shall not be liable for the temporary deprivation of the occupancy or the full use of the Premises as a result of the bursting, leaking or failure of water supply, waste or soil pipes or the choking, stoppage or overflow thereof or of the rains, gutters, rhones, conductors or from the failure, fusing or breakdown of the electrical systems.
- You shall remove from the Premises on the expiry of the rental period without any warning or process of removal and
- leave the building in the condition as it was found, sweeping and mopping all areas used as may be necessary,
- ensure lighting and heating is switched off’
- secure the Premises properly after use,
- return the keys,
- remove all litter, rubbish and waste,
- and shall make good any damage caused by you.
- You understand that you no car parking rights on the school car park during normal school hours.
- Your acceptance of the foregoing will conclude matters.
